Shot of the Day...

This photo was taken at sunset with my

trusty 50mm lens. The frame used was by House of Three.

Shot of the Day...

Yes, it has been a crazy long time since I posted ANYTHING. Life... Anyhow, here is a shot of my oldest daughter before a performance at our Convention Center. This shot was taken at 6pm in the shade. I used my 50mm lens on the D90, f-stop used was 4.5, exposure 1/100th sec, white balance set to cloudy, no flash, ISO was set to 200.

I also edited this a bit in photoshop, by adding the vingette and bumping up the hue/saturation to a 7.

Tiffany Tillman's 25 Days of Summer Templates...

Here is my layout from my first lesson from Tiffany Tillman's Summer Template class. I am already behind, however...I do have a pretty good reason. That darn pink eye was almost gone and I was putting my last drops in...duh da duhn...and I put the wrong drops in my eye and had a major reaction. Swollen shut eyes, goop, red, and the white of my eye was even swollen taller than the iris. How in the heck does that even happen? So, off to the doctor, yet again, to get MORE Drop and antibiotics for this lingering cold I have had for almost a month!

The class so far is very fun, but I can't figure out how to post my picture to the gallery and am too tired tonight to figure it out. So, I am going to link it here from Renee Pearson's website.

I did learn something new today. When working with a template you can go to your image header in to the tool bar and flip the template anyway you want to get more use to it. You can also select individual layers within the template and do the same thing. Very handy little tool. I did just leave the template as is though.

Tutorial...creating a postage stamp for scrapbooking

I saw this posted in the general forum at Jessica Sprague's website. I didn't want to forget about it, so I am posting it here to try it out later when I have time. Maybe you might give it a shot too!
